Mechanism-Guided Synergy

Mechanism-Guided Synergy

A thoughtful formulation is not created by simply adding more ingredients. It starts with a clear understanding of the biological mechanisms the formula is intended to support.

Forehealth uses a mechanism-guided approach to select nutrients that have complementary roles in supporting mind and body well-being.

MGS is a framework for explaining nutrient selection. Mechanistic plausibility does not, by itself, establish clinical benefits of a finished supplement.

HOW OUR KEY NUTRIENTS WORK TOGETHER

Complementary Nutrients. A Clear Design Rationale.

MGS™ — Mechanism-Guided Synergy System describes our formulation rationale: EPA is the core ingredient, with Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2 and natural Vitamin E selected for complementary nutritional roles. “Synergy” refers to formulation design; enhanced clinical efficacy of this combination has not been established.

EPA-Focused Omega-3

Each serving of 2 softgels provides 500 mg EPA. Research explores EPA-derived lipid signals and their biological roles. Ingredient research does not establish effects on emotional well-being or brain function for this finished product.

DHA and Other Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Each serving provides 70 mg DHA and 73 mg other omega-3 fatty acids. DHA is studied as a component of cell membranes, including in the brain. Its biological role should be distinguished from measured benefits of supplementation.

Vitamin D3

Each serving provides 25 mcg (1,000 IU) Vitamin D3. Vitamin D is involved in calcium absorption and normal bone and immune function. This nutritional role does not establish a mood benefit from this formulation.

Vitamin K2

Each serving provides 20 mcg Vitamin K2 (MenaQ7®). Vitamin K is involved in activating proteins related to clotting and calcium metabolism. Findings from different doses and populations do not establish cardiovascular benefits of this product.

Natural Vitamin E

Each serving provides 67 mg (100 IU) natural Vitamin E. Vitamin E is a lipid-soluble antioxidant. This biological role does not, on its own, establish product shelf life, clinical benefit or ingredient synergy.

Mechanism-Guided Design

MGS considers Membrane Integration, Pro-resolving Lipid Signalling, Neurotransmitter Modulation and Neurovascular Support. These are areas of biological research, not demonstrated clinical outcomes of SHINE EPA 500. Read the selected references and their limitations.
